Our local partner, Dalla Fonte, is hosting a one-of-a-kind journey through the culinary heart of Italy.
Dalla Fonte is a specialty Italian food and wine subscription club that often features products imported by Ritrovo Selections. This fellow Seattle-based and female-owned business is launching the very first of its kind, once-in-a-lifetime travel opportunity that is a perfect fit for our community of food lovers.
Join Dalla Fonte and The Table Less Traveled in October 2024 for an exclusive food tour through the enchanting streets of Bologna and the Piedmont countryside, with stops throughout Emilia-Romagna. Sample fresh cheese outside of a Parmigiano-Reggiano Factory, visit a local market and prepare dinner in the home of a friend, and enjoy tastings with producers featured in Dalla Fonte club boxes, including Ritrovo's very own Allemandi Pastificio.
Allemandi is part of the Ritrovo artisan family and crafts beautiful pastas in Piedmont with Maurizio Allemandi at the helm. Maurizio grew up visiting his grandmothers trattoria where he learned that quality raw materials and the passion for quality food are the basis of Italian regional cuisine. Travelers will get a look behind the scenes of Maurizio's pasta making business and a chance to taste the flavors of his region.
Last year, Dalla Fonte founder, Olivia Becker, teamed up with local culinary travel operator, The Table Less Traveled, to create an opportunity for their club members to visit the producers and winemakers behind the most beloved products featured in their quarterly subscription boxes. Olivia’s goal has always been to create connection and community around a love of Italian foods and culture, honoring her Italian-American roots and love for all things Italy. Annie Cheng, founder of The Table Less Traveled, built a travel company that creates that same connection, crafting experiences that bring travelers to the tables of friends and chefs in Italy. Together, Olivia and Annie have created a travel experience that gives their circle a front-row seat to Italian food culture.
