Gold-green color, with aromas rich in artichoke and rosemary. Balanced, complex flavor that begins with fresh herbs and finishes with sweet almonds and pepper. A blend of Moraiolo, Frantoio and Leccino olives, this vibrant oil is especially suited to Tuscan cuisine.
Maria Grazia and Roberto Droandi produce this Certified DOP and organic Chianti Classico EVOO without the use of pesticides or herbicides on their farm "Ceppeto" near Gaiole in Tuscany. The farm's hilly terrain with it's gorgeously terraced groves is particularly suited to low-yield olive production (only one liter of oil per tree).
Mannucci-Droandi's EVOO has an extremely low free oleic acid content and a high level of polyphenols, earning it a place among the best extra virgin olive oils in Italy. Their oil is one of the few in Tuscany as well as Italy to be both certified organic and to have the coveted DOP (Denominazione di Origine Protetta) status!
